Import Specialist

Job Summary

Working remotely on a full-time basis, the Import Specialist will process and integrate customer data, assist with the movement of goods across international borders, and serve as a liaison to resolve customer issues while preparing necessary import documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and manage import documents for customs clearance, including bills of lading and consulate documents
• Serve as the customer service liaison, resolving issues related to billing and shipment tracking
• Coordinate shipments and maintain communication with customers, carriers, and regulatory agencies

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of 2 years of northern border customs experience
• Experience with client submission requirements and clearance of specific commodities
• Knowledge of U.S. Government regulatory agencies such as FDA and EPA
• Proficiency in handling accounting processes related to import operations
