Import Specialist

Job Summary

Working remotely on a full-time basis, the Import Specialist will process and integrate customer data, manage import documentation for customs clearance, and serve as the customer service liaison to resolve issues related to international shipments.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and manage import documents, ensuring compliance with U.S. government regulations
• Communicate with customers, carriers, and government agencies to resolve shipment issues and maintain service quality
• Coordinate shipments and manage accounting processes related to import activities

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 3 years of recent customs brokerage experience
• Familiarity with import customs clearance processes and documentation
• Experience handling confidential information
• Ability to stay updated on regulations and compliance requirements
