In-House Counsel for Strategic Transactions

Job Summary

As a newly created position within the Legal Department, the full-time remote Director, Strategic Transactions will manage M&A transactions, investments, and strategic partnerships, collaborating closely with the Chief Strategy Office and legal leadership to drive deal processes from negotiation to post-closing execution.

Key responsibilities

• Lead legal due diligence and coordinate with various functions to communicate findings and risks during M&A transactions
• Support corporate venture capital programs and manage outside counsel relationships for strategic investments
• Negotiate and draft strategic commercial and technology transactions while assisting the broader Legal Department on high-priority tasks

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of legal experience in M&A, preferably with in-house or outside counsel experience in strategic acquisitions
• Proven ability to independently negotiate and manage complex strategic transactions
• Strong process orientation and comfort with utilizing AI and technology in transaction support
• Active bar membership in good standing with eligibility to practice as in-house counsel
• Demonstrated growth mindset and initiative in tackling unfamiliar challenges
