Job Summary
Managing a portfolio of new claims, the full-time remote Claims Advocate will investigate liability, assess claims, and negotiate settlements while collaborating with adjusters and external vendors to ensure accurate coverage determination.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct thorough investigations to identify liable third parties and assess liability
- Initiate, document, and manage all aspects of general liability cases from identification through final resolution
- Review and interpret policy language to align with company policies and legal requirements
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance, or a related field is preferred
- Minimum of 3+ years in general liability claims, focusing on commercial property claims handling
- Strong understanding of commercial property and liability insurance policies, as well as relevant state and federal subrogation laws
- Proven ability to communicate effectively and negotiate with a range of stakeholders
- Candidates must have, or be able to promptly obtain, any and all appropriate Independent Adjuster License(s)
