Index Data Scientist

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Index Data Scientist to manage the methodology layer of its ranking indices.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the methodology layer for every published index, including weighting, normalization, and ranking logic
• Translate prototyped scoring into transparent, defensible models with comprehensive documentation
• Build the playbook for launching new indices, including required data and methodology templates

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in building indices or scoring models in a relevant field
• 3+ years of quantitative background in actuarial science, statistics, or applied mathematics
• Proven ability to write methodology documentation that withstands external scrutiny
• Fluency in Python and SQL, with experience in data manipulation libraries
• Experience with cloud data platforms such as GCP or AWS
