Job Summary

Providing underwriting support in a full-time remote capacity, the Indiana and Kentucky Underwriting Counsel will examine title orders, assess risks, and issue title insurance commitments while collaborating with company personnel and customers.

Key responsibilities

• Examine title orders to determine insurability and identify any title defects
• Research title plant software and analyze pertinent documents for ownership and legal descriptions
• Prepare accurate title commitments in accordance with company procedures

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of title underwriting experience
• Familiarity with real estate law and title insurance regulations
• Strong understanding of the real estate title and settlement process
• Ability to collaborate effectively and make decisive judgments
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
