Job Summary

A company is looking for a Certified Medical Coder / Medical Record Audit Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

• Review medical records and documentation for coding accuracy and compliance with applicable standards
• Conduct independent coding and documentation reviews and provide preliminary findings
• Identify coding discrepancies and assist with audit responses and appeals

Qualifications

• Coding certification such as CCS, CPC, or CPMA required
• At least 1 year of experience in medical coding, claims review, or billing compliance
• Familiarity with Indiana Medicaid policies and payer guidelines preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Candidate located in or near the Indianapolis area preferred
