Job Summary
To support high school scholars in their educational journey, the part-time Indiana EMS Educator will design and deliver engaging EMS instruction, prepare students for industry-recognized certifications, and create hands-on learning experiences in various settings.
Key responsibilities:
- Provides EMS instruction tailored to adolescent learning styles across classroom, skills lab, clinical, and field settings
- Designs standards-aligned lessons and prepares students for industry-recognized EMS certifications and career pathways
- Monitors program activities, tracks attendance, and maintains accurate records while ensuring a safe learning environment
Required qualifications:
- Indiana Paramedic License (preferred), Indiana EMT-Basic Certification, or Registered Nurse; must enter Paramedic course if not licensed
- A minimum of five years of clinical experience as a pre-hospital provider required; five years as a Paramedic preferred
- Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Certification in ACLS, AHA CPR, PEPP, EVOC, and NAEMT provider in two disciplines
- Prior teaching experience preferred, especially with high school or adolescent learners
