Job Summary
To prepare high school scholars for industry-recognized EMS certifications, the part-time Indiana EMS Educator will design and deliver engaging, hands-on instruction in classroom, skills lab, and clinical settings, serving 3 to 5 days per week for 3 to 4 hours each day.
Key responsibilities
- Provides EMS instruction tailored to adolescent learning styles and prepares students for certifications and career pathways
- Designs and delivers standards-aligned lessons across various educational settings, ensuring engaging and age-appropriate content
- Monitors program activities, tracks attendance, and maintains accurate records while fostering a safe learning environment
Required qualifications
- Indiana Paramedic License (preferred), Indiana EMT-Basic Certification, or Registered Nurse
- A minimum of five years of clinical experience as a pre-hospital provider
- Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Valid Driver's License compliant with applicable policies
- Instructor-level certification in CPR, ACLS, PEPP, and two NAEMT disciplines
