Job Summary
To enhance the employee experience, the full-time hybrid Indiana Licensed Benefits Support Representative will manage inbound and outbound calls, providing accurate and empathetic answers to benefits-related inquiries while ensuring high-quality service and client satisfaction.
Key responsibilities
- Handle a wide range of employee contacts independently, resolving most issues on the first call
- Anticipate follow-up questions and adapt explanations based on employees' benefits knowledge and emotional state
- Maintain expertise in health insurance and related inquiries while sharing knowledge with team members to improve overall performance
Required qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in customer service, call center, or employee-facing roles
- Prior experience in a Level 1 benefits administration role or equivalent HR services experience is preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
- Must obtain and maintain active state insurance licenses (Life, Health, LTC) and stay current on continuing education
- Genuine empathy and the ability to communicate complex benefits information in plain language
