Job Summary

Seeking a compassionate and dedicated Indiana Licensed Cancer Registrar, the full-time hourly Oncology Data Specialist will abstract oncology patient records, ensure accurate reporting of cancer cases, and maintain the Cancer Registry records remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Abstract oncology patient records and input data into designated software systems
• Complete case-finding and follow-up of reported cancer cases
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting of cancer cases to the State and maintain compliance with guidelines

Required qualifications

• Certified Oncology Data Specialist (ODS-C) required
• Associate Degree in Cancer Registry Management, Health Information Management, or related field with college-level anatomy and physiology
• Certification by the National Cancer Registrars Association upon eligibility
• Cancer Registry experience preferred
