Job Summary
To support the CDC Autism and Developmental Disabilities Monitoring (ADDM) Network, the part-time Indiana Licensed Clinical Data Abstractor will review and abstract information from medical and education records for children with autism or suspected autism while working remotely.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily clinical/medical chart abstraction and review of records
- Collaborate with hospitals, healthcare providers, and state agencies while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive patient information
- Utilize database/web-based applications, including REDCap, to manage project documentation and assist with educational materials
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Genetics, Nursing, Early Childhood Education/Development, Special Education, or a related field
- 2+ years of clinical/medical abstraction experience
- 2+ years of experience with database/web applications, preferably REDCap, EMR/EHR, and education records
- Experience handling confidential/sensitive information
- Must reside in Indiana and attend initial onsite orientation in Indianapolis
