Job Summary
Managing a portfolio of delinquent accounts, the full-time Indiana Licensed Collection Specialist will initiate contact with debtors, document collection activities, and provide exceptional customer service, working in a hybrid model with two days in the office each week.
Key responsibilities
- Initiate contact with debtors through phone calls, emails, and written correspondence to discuss outstanding debts and negotiate payment arrangements
- Document all collection activities, including communication records and payment arrangements, in compliance with client standards and Federal Regulations
- Utilize skip tracing techniques to locate debtors with changed contact information or those who are difficult to reach
Required qualifications
- Must possess an Indiana Collection Specialist license or be able to obtain it
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in business or related fields is preferred
- 0-1 years of experience in collections or related customer service roles, preferably in a financial or credit environment
- Proficiency in using collections software and customer relationship management (CRM) systems
- Basic computing skills and familiarity with debt collection laws and regulations
