Job Summary

A company is looking for a Financial Aid Counselor.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist students in determining financial aid eligibility and develop award packages in accordance with policies and regulations
• Provide counseling to students regarding financial aid rights, responsibilities, and options available
• Maintain current knowledge of financial aid regulations and serve as a backup for other financial aid functions

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent transferable work experience
• Experience working with diverse communities and cultures
• Proficiency with office management software and web-based communication systems
• Knowledge of federal, state, and institutional student financial aid administration
• Fluency in Spanish as a second language is desired
