Job Summary

A company is looking for a Staff Counsel in Indianapolis, IN.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently manage all phases of litigation involving claims of moderate to heavy value, including legal research and drafting legal documents
• Support senior attorneys in case handling and participate in hearings, trials, and mediations
• Develop and implement advanced legal strategies while mentoring junior attorneys and ensuring compliance with legal standards

Required Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) or LLB degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to the bar in Indiana and in good standing
• Minimum of 5 years of trial attorney experience, preferably in insurance law
• Proven experience managing moderately complex litigation with successful outcomes
• General knowledge of insurance law and relevant legal practices
