Job Summary
Leading dynamic group therapy sessions, the full-time Float Substance Use Counselor will facilitate 3-5 one-hour sessions daily, collaborate with care teams, and support a recovery-oriented environment while engaging in community outreach.
Key responsibilities
- Lead group therapy sessions using structured, evidence-based curricula
- Facilitate discussions and monitor member progress within a clinical framework
- Engage in community outreach to promote the organization's mission
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred
- Required licensure or certification in behavioral health (e.g., LADC, CADC, LCSW)
- Minimum two years of experience leading groups in a substance use disorder setting
- Access to reliable internet and technology proficiency with EMR and telehealth software
- Ability to work 2-3 evenings per week up to 9 PM as needed
