To support optimal surgical outcomes, the full-time Indiana Licensed Surgical Care Coordinator will guide orthopedic surgical patients through the pre-surgical process, collaborating with healthcare teams and ensuring patients are medically optimized and informed, with potential for hybrid remote work.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the primary patient contact throughout the pre-surgical coordination process
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and coordinate medical optimization prior to surgery
- Educate patients and families regarding surgical procedures and ensure all required documentation is completed before scheduling
Required qualifications
- Current and valid Indiana Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Completion of an accredited nursing program
- Minimum of two (2) years of acute care nursing experience
