Indiana Licensed Telehealth Triage Nurse

Job Summary

Managing patient symptom-based encounters, the full-time Indiana Licensed Telehealth Triage Nurse will triage calls and video consultations, utilizing evidence-based protocols to provide care guidance and decrease unnecessary medical visits, with potential remote work options after training.

Key responsibilities

• Accept and triage telephone calls from patients, assessing their medical concerns and determining appropriate next steps
• Utilize electronic medical records to review patient history and facilitate evidence-based treatment recommendations
• Provide health education, medication refill assistance, and evaluate the need for emergency care or medical appointments

Required qualifications

• Current, active RN license with a compact license or application for Nurse Licensure Compact
• Graduate of a School of Nursing; BSN preferred
• Minimum of five years of experience as a registered nurse, with preferred experience in emergency department or telephone triage
• Proficiency in using electronic medical records and computer systems
• Strong assessment skills and ability to communicate effectively in high-stress situations
