Job Summary

Managing underwriting workflows and team performance, the full-time Associate Underwriting Team Lead will underwrite new and renewal business, evaluate risks, and provide mentorship to less experienced underwriters in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Underwrite new and renewal business by evaluating risk and making decisions within delegated authority
• Manage the underwriting workflow through the full lifecycle, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards
• Provide leadership and coordination across underwriting teams, promoting effective communication and adherence to policies

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or relevant insurance designation preferred
• Experience in underwriting, including multi-line or specialty insurance products
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex accounts and contribute to underwriting performance outcomes
• Experience in providing guidance or mentorship within a team environment preferred
• Appropriate state-specific insurance license required; professional designations such as CPCU or CIC may be preferred
