Indigenous Populations Consultations Expert

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Indigenous Populations Consultations Expert.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct informational discussions and provide recommendations to improve processes and guidelines for consulting and engaging indigenous populations
• Review and refine a process for consulting with indigenous populations that complies with USAID policy, Mexican law, and best practices
• Revise the current Indigenous Populations Consultation workbook to ensure compliance with USAID policy, Mexican law, and other interests

Required Qualifications:

• Expertise in engaging indigenous populations of Mexico
• Deep understanding of relevant Mexican law
• Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting consultations with indigenous populations in Mexico
• Masters Degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience
• Fluency in Spanish and ability to read and analyze reports in English
