Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Individual Disability Underwriter, the full-time remote position will underwrite complex DI cases end to end, collaborating with the field while exercising independent judgment to deliver sound underwriting decisions.
Key responsibilities:
- Serve as a subject matter expert in underwriting and product knowledge through training and industry engagement
- Deliver competitive underwriting decisions that balance business placement with profitability and morbidity expectations
- Provide exceptional consultation and service to agents, brokers, and business partners on underwriting and risk matters
Required qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 5+ years of experience in underwriting individual disability insurance
- Approval authority of $15K+ in individual disability insurance underwriting
