Industrial Technical Designer

Job Summary

To support a diverse range of industrial projects, the full-time Industrial Technical Designer will develop technical designs, edit architectural drawings, and collaborate with design teams while working in a flexible environment that allows for remote or onsite participation.

Key responsibilities

• Develops technical designs and edits architectural drawings to meet quality, timeline, and budget requirements
• Performs design activities including programming, code research, and site surveys
• Coordinates with contractors and consultants to address constructability issues and obtain necessary documentation

Required qualifications

• Experience in all phases of the project cycle
• Proficiency in architectural design software such as Revit and AutoCAD
• Familiarity with MEP and Structural building systems and building codes
• Completion of related post-secondary education
• 0-5 years of project work experience, with industrial project experience as an asset
