Information Architect Taxonomist

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Information Architect III - Taxonomist.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement structured taxonomies, controlled vocabularies, and metadata schemas for internal content and data
• Collaborate with data teams, experts, and stakeholders to assess, implement, and oversee a taxonomy and metadata framework
• Propose enhancements to the current content management system for seamless integration of the taxonomy and metadata framework

Required Qualifications

• Experience in creating and maintaining enterprise taxonomies and metadata
• Strong foundation in information science, information architecture, or library science
• Proficiency in analyzing user needs, content, and data to craft effective taxonomies and metadata strategies
• Experience with data modeling and information structure design
• Familiarity with Smartlogic or similar taxonomy management tools is highly desirable
