Job Summary
To assist with records and information governance, the contract Information Governance Professional will collaborate with various departments to implement policies, manage litigation holds, and oversee a Senior Legal Records Coordinator while working in a hybrid environment in Washington, D.C.
Key responsibilities:
- Collaborating with departments to draft and implement policies ensuring compliance with best practices for client-related data
- Managing and auditing litigation holds in conjunction with the Professional Responsibility & Risk Management Counsel and Ethics Committee
- Educating attorneys and staff on records management best practices and maintaining accurate tracking of client records
Required qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in project management with a focus on information governance and records policy, preferably in a large law firm
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to exercise sound judgment and handle confidential information
- Familiarity with records and conflicts databases and business intake systems, preferably Intapp
