Information Release Manager

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Information Release and Practice Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of information access and release functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end workflow for releasing medical records and ensure compliance with privacy and consent requirements
• Supervise team members, providing training and performance feedback to ensure accuracy and accountability
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA and state privacy laws while identifying and escalating risks related to information release

Required Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration, Business Management, or a related field preferred
• 2+ years of experience in medical records release or health information management in a healthcare setting
• Strong working knowledge of HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2
• Experience with EHR systems and secure file transfer tools
• Demonstrated ability to manage sensitive information in digital environments
