Information Security Analyst I

Job Summary

Working remotely full-time, the Information Security Analyst I will manage threat detection, monitoring, and incident response as part of the Security Operations Center (SOC) team, ensuring the protection of institutional information and technology resources.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to and analyze security alerts and incidents, supporting technical investigations of complex security threats
• Coordinate incident response in alignment with the Information Security Incident Response Plan, participating in containment and eradication activities
• Conduct real-time monitoring of security events and analyze digital evidence to identify indicators of compromise and attack vectors

Required qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a security operations center (SOC) or on a cybersecurity incident response team
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• Professional certification(s) such as CySA+ or Sec+
• Understanding of the MITRE ATT&CK Framework and cloud security principles
• Experience with enterprise security tools and IT networking, including familiarity with SIEM technology or EDR tools
