Information Security Analyst II

Job Summary

Working remotely full-time, the Information Security Analyst II will monitor a complex enterprise technology ecosystem, detect and analyze security events, and respond to incidents to safeguard institutional information and technology resources.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the initial triage point for security-related tickets, performing containment and remediation as needed
• Conduct real-time monitoring and analysis of security events, utilizing analytical skills to investigate and escalate incidents
• Design and implement security tools and operational processes, while maintaining documentation and communication during incident response activities

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in information technology
• 2+ years in a security operations center (SOC) or on a cybersecurity incident response team
• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Experience with enterprise monitoring tools and vulnerability management concepts
• Professional certification(s) such as ISC2 CISSP, Microsoft Azure, or CompTIA Security+
