Information Security Engineer

Job Summary

To enhance data protection, the full-time Information Security Engineer will design and implement security mechanisms, assess risks, and manage information security events while working remotely.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in testing incident response and business continuity plans to address security breaches and ensure operational recovery
• Evaluate security technologies and design cloud security strategies to protect data and IT infrastructure
• Maintain the cyber security risk register and coordinate audits and vendor risk assessments to ensure compliance and effective security controls

Required Qualifications:

• Work experience in the healthcare information security field
• Previous Health Information Technology (HIT) experience with federal security and privacy regulations
• 3+ years of relevant work experience in IT security within a complex enterprise environment
• Proficiency in HIPAA, HITECH, and PCI DSS standards
• Experience with incident response, vulnerability management, and security audits
