Information Security Engineer

Job Summary

To enhance security measures, the full-time salaried Information Security Engineer will manage the development of information security tools and implement technology initiatives while working remotely to secure company information and infrastructure.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead projects and collaborate with engineers, architects, and vendors to design secure production environments
• Monitor network traffic for suspicious activity, respond to security incidents, and perform incident analysis
• Document the current state of network security, perform gap analysis, and create a target state for enterprise-wide security

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline
• 4+ years of experience in Information Security with a focus on implementing security best practices
• One security certification preferred (e.g., GSEC, CISSP) or to be obtained within 12 months of hire
• Experience leading the installation and deployment of security tools
• Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
