Information Security Engineer

Job Summary

To enhance organizational cybersecurity, the full-time Information Security Engineer will design, configure, implement, and operate security systems while minimizing information security risks and ensuring the protection of critical data and systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and monitor security systems, responding to alerts and security events
• Develop and enforce standard security configurations for operating systems and applications
• Lead incident handling and response, including investigation and documentation of security events

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or a related field with 2-3 years of relevant experience, or 5 years of direct information security experience in lieu of a degree
• Preferred certification in information security, such as CISSP
• Strong technical and analytical skills with familiarity in encryption protocols and vulnerability scanners
• Experience with logging/SIEM tools and network defense architectures
