Information Security Officer

Job Summary

Managing security requirements for major applications, the full-time remote Information Security Officer (ISSO) will oversee the security authorization process for computer systems, ensuring compliance with federal standards while collaborating with technical teams and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain an inventory of hardware and software and coordinate the development of a Contingency Plan
• Manage the security authorization process and ensure compliance with established procedures
• Write information system security documentation and assess risks in complex environments

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of information security experience with a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field preferred
• Hands-on experience supporting AWS environments and High Baseline federal information systems
• Strong knowledge of information security engineering principles and recent experience supporting a federal government customer
• Experience with vulnerability assessment tools such as Nessus and the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance
