Information Security Specialist

Job Summary

To support the organization's information security and privacy program, the full-time remote Information Security Specialist will manage the implementation of security measures, conduct risk assessments, and evaluate compliance with security policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support and administer the implementation of security measures for information systems to prevent unauthorized access and data breaches
• Perform privacy and security risk assessments and ongoing monitoring activities in coordination with compliance and audit functions
• Evaluate new products and information systems for compliance with security policies and assist with external audits

Required Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience in a computer science related field or equivalent work experience
• Recognized security-related certification (e.g., Security+, SSCP, CCSP) is preferred
• Familiarity with application security, database technologies, and information systems auditing
• Experience with information and network security practices, software, and hardware
• Understanding of business/technology controls for managing confidential data
