Information System Security Manager

Job Summary

Combining deep DoD security expertise with a passion for emerging AI, the full-time remote Information System Security Manager (ISSM) will own the RMF lifecycle across classified systems, maintain ATO posture, and ensure mission assurance while navigating evolving compliance landscapes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the full RMF lifecycle from system categorization through ATO and continuous monitoring
• Govern the security posture of AI and ML systems operating within classified environments
• Interpret evolving guidance and define security approval pathways for AI tools

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years as an ISSM or ISSO on DoD classified programs
• End-to-end RMF experience per NIST SP 800-37, including ATO package preparation
• Active TS/SCI clearance; CI Polygraph preferred
• DoD 8140 IAM Level III certification (CISSP, CAP, CISM, or CASP+)
• Genuine curiosity about AI and its potential in national security missions
