Information System Security Officer

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) - SME.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the principal security advisor to the GII System Owner
• Ensure implementation and maintenance of security controls in accordance with DHS policies and the GII Security Plan
• Perform Information Security Continuous Monitoring (ISCM) and support assessment, authorization, certification, and accreditation activities

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 7-10 years of IT security or cybersecurity experience
• At least 3-5 years of experience as an ISSO or in an equivalent federal security compliance role
• Must hold relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CAP, CompTIA Security+ CE, or GSEC
• Familiarity with DHS ISCM tools and vulnerability management systems
• Experience with compliance frameworks including NIST SP 800-37, 800-53, and FISMA
