Information System Security Officer

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Information System Security Officer (ISSO).

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the designated ISSO for federal information systems and maintain documentation for Authority to Operate (ATO) compliance
• Conduct security scans, monitor findings, and collaborate with teams to remediate vulnerabilities
• Represent the program in security briefings and coordinate with stakeholders to implement security controls

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with at least 8 years of experience in information security or cybersecurity (12 years of experience without a degree)
• Experience as an ISSO or in a similar security role supporting federal systems
• Working knowledge of NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF) and NIST 800-53 security controls
• Experience with ATO lifecycle management and security scans
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
