Information System Security Officer

Job Summary

To support the Health and Human Services Administration, the remote Information System Security Officer (ISSO) will ensure the security and compliance of information systems, manage security authorization packages, and conduct risk assessments while adhering to federal guidelines such as FISMA and NIST.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with federal security standards and manage security authorization packages
• Conduct regular security risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies
• Lead incident response efforts and develop security training programs for staff

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, Cybersecurity, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity or information assurance, preferably in a federal environment
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent knowledge
• US Citizenship and ability to pass a Public Trust Background Investigation
