Information System Security Officer

Job Summary

Working in a hybrid/remote capacity, the Information System Security Officer will design and implement secure systems, conduct vulnerability assessments, and support incident response efforts while collaborating with both internal teams and external contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Design, test, and implement secure operating systems and security monitoring tools for IT security systems
• Perform vulnerability assessments and conduct threat modeling exercises to identify and mitigate security risks
• Coordinate security action requests and provide status updates to senior management while supporting compliance with government security policies

Required qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in IT security and/or information assurance
• Background in secure software development
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field
• IAT Level 2 certification (Sec+)
• US Citizenship and active Secret clearance
