Information System Security Officer

Job Summary

Leading cybersecurity compliance efforts in a remote capacity, the Information System Security Officer (ISSO) will manage Risk Management Framework (RMF) activities, coordinate security controls implementation, and support the achievement of an Authority to Operate (ATO).

Key responsibilities

• Guide RMF activities and collaborate with technical teams to collect compliance artifacts necessary for system authorization
• Organize and manage cybersecurity compliance controls and assessment requirements in support of the RMF and ATO process
• Collaborate across teams to evaluate system design and ensure security controls are documented and maintained for authorization activities

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred
• IAT II certification (Security+ or better) required
• Minimum of three years of experience in cybersecurity, with a solid understanding of the RMF
• Experience supporting the RMF process and achieving an Authority to Operate (ATO)
• Working knowledge of AWS cloud environments and cybersecurity compliance requirements preferred
