Information Systems Security Officer

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO).

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor security threats, perform access reviews, and develop mitigation strategies for vulnerability assessments
• Support security operations and maintain knowledge of security architecture and NIST 800-53 controls
• Certify and update System Security Plans (SSPs) and support internal and external audits

Required Qualifications

• At least 6 years of experience in an ISSO role within a US Government environment
• At least 6 years of experience with NIST cybersecurity standards and best practices
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field
• Certification such as CISSP or CISM
• Knowledge of US Government security regulations like FISMA and FedRAMP
