Information Systems Security Officer

Job Summary

To support critical cyber operations, the remote Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) Subject Matter Expert (SME) will oversee the comprehensive Information Assurance program, ensuring compliance with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) while advising executive leadership on risk management and security posture.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily cybersecurity operations and maintain an appropriate operational security posture for assigned systems
• Advise executive leadership on risks, vulnerabilities, and the overall security health of information systems
• Ensure compliance with security documentation and facilitate security assessments and audits to maintain Authority to Operate (ATO) status

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) or equivalent verifiable work experience
• Security+ certification or higher; additional certifications such as CISSP, CAP, or CASP are desired
• Eight (8) years of progressive experience in information assurance, cybersecurity engineering, or ISSO/ISSM roles
• Must be a U.S. citizen and able to pass a background investigation
• Advanced mastery of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and associated security controls
