Job Summary
Supporting the National Training and Support Program (NTSP) Quality and Data Informatics team, the full-time Information Technology Specialist will administer and develop IT systems to manage critical program data for the Department of Veterans Affairs, focusing on data governance, web-based solutions, and automated workflows.
Key responsibilities
- Administer, develop, and maintain IT systems for the acquisition, storage, and management of VA program data
- Evaluate IT environments and recommend scalable solutions for data dissemination and operational enhancements
- Design and enforce data governance policies to ensure compliance and data quality across the organization
Required qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in information technology, data management, or systems administration
- BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Prior experience supporting federal agency clients, preferably in a VA or federal healthcare IT environment
- Ability to obtain and maintain a VA Personal Identity Verification (PIV) credential
- Demonstrated proficiency in IT systems administration and data management principles
