Infrastructure Architect

Job Summary

Supporting a major modernization initiative within the Department of Veterans Affairs, the full-time remote Infrastructure Architect will lead efforts in designing and implementing scalable, secure hybrid cloud and on-premise infrastructure solutions while collaborating with various teams to modernize legacy healthcare systems.

Key responsibilities

• Lead infrastructure architecture and modernization efforts for large-scale VA enterprise health systems
• Review and validate AI-generated infrastructure outputs for compliance with federal standards before implementation
• Develop infrastructure roadmaps and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support system modernization initiatives

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
• 10+ years of experience in enterprise infrastructure engineering or architecture
• Experience supporting large-scale federal IT modernization programs, preferably in healthcare
• Strong experience with hybrid cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform)
• Knowledge of infrastructure modernization strategies for legacy applications and systems
