Infrastructure Automation Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a highly skilled Sr. Infrastructure Automation Engineer for an 18-month remote contract role, responsible for designing, building, and maintaining automation solutions to streamline infrastructure operations, with a focus on developing scalable AWS cloud environments and creating reusable Terraform modules.

Key responsibilities:

• Design and implement automation frameworks and reusable infrastructure patterns using Terraform
• Architect and deploy secure, scalable AWS cloud infrastructure
• Develop automation tools and scripts with Python, Bash, PowerShell, and Ansible

Required qualifications:

• 5+ years of AWS cloud infrastructure experience
• Expert-level Terraform skills (modules, state management, multi-environment deployments)
• Strong Python scripting skills (Bash and PowerShell a plus)
• Hands-on experience with Ansible and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions)
• Proven ability to design scalable automation solutions from scratch
