Infrastructure Design Technician

Job Summary

Infrastructure Design Technician is a contract position responsible for remote design and fulfillment of internal network orders, focusing on circuit layouts and documentation to support network operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and redesign Layer 1 circuit layout records in the TIRKS database
• Collaborate with Planning and Engineering to provision network equipment and circuits
• Maintain and support network infrastructure records across applicable applications

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• Knowledge of optical networking equipment (e.g., Ciena, Fujitsu, Alcatel/Lucent)
• Familiarity with telecommunications inventory systems such as TIRKS and OMNIvue
• Understanding of inside plant fiber optic structured wiring design and operations
• Experience in designing infrastructure circuits in a telecommunications network is a plus
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet customer expectations
