Infrastructure Engineer

Job Summary

Owning the architecture and scalability of backend systems, the full-time remote Infrastructure Engineer will design, harden, and scale infrastructure that processes millions of events daily, utilizing technologies such as Postgres, AWS, OpenSearch, and Redis.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the architecture and scalability of backend systems, ensuring efficient data movement between customer integrations and the product
• Scale infrastructure to handle increasing loads ahead of customer demand while making strategic tradeoffs on project timelines
• Set standards for reliability, observability, and operational excellence, defining what "production-ready" means for the organization

Required qualifications

• Proven experience in owning and scaling production systems that process millions of events daily
• Deep expertise in Postgres, including query optimization and replication strategies
• Strong knowledge of job queue infrastructure, AWS, OpenSearch, and Redis
• Ability to make informed tradeoffs between quick solutions and long-term architectural investments
• Passion for scaling infrastructure in a fast-paced startup environment
