Infrastructure Engineer
Job Summary
Supporting critical data center operations, the full-time Infrastructure Engineer will manage VMware-based infrastructure, perform physical data center tasks, and ensure high availability while working in a hybrid environment.
Key responsibilities
- Deploy, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain VMware infrastructure, including vCenter-managed environments
- Perform Layer 1 data center operations such as rack-and-stack, cable management, and hardware installation
- Respond to monitoring alerts and incidents, ensuring infrastructure operates in a 99.999% uptime environment
Required qualifications
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or equivalent expertise with 5+ years of experience in VMware infrastructure
- Hands-on experience with data center operations, including rack-and-stack and physical troubleshooting
- Strong technical documentation skills using tools like Microsoft Visio and IP management
- Basic knowledge of Linux for deployment and operational support tasks
- Working knowledge of networking concepts and experience with Cisco and/or Dell switch configuration
