Infrastructure Software Engineer

Job Summary

Focused on building and operating foundational systems, the full-time Infrastructure Software Engineer will own cross-cutting infrastructure problems, design distributed systems, and improve performance and reliability while working remotely or in various locations including San Francisco, Austin, Berlin, London, New York City, Seattle, and Toronto.

Key Responsibilities

• Own cross-cutting infrastructure problems spanning compute, storage, networking, and reliability
• Design, build, and operate distributed infrastructure for consumer, AI, and enterprise workloads
• Identify gaps in existing platforms and build shared abstractions and tooling for improved usability

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience with production backend or distributed systems
• Proven track record of owning complex production systems and delivering technical impact
• Strong software engineering skills in Python or other backend languages like Go, Rust, C++, or Java
• Experience across at least two infrastructure domains, such as cloud platforms, Kubernetes, or networking
• Ability to quickly develop depth in unfamiliar systems and manage production incidents effectively
