Infrastructure SRE Engineer
Job Summary
Supporting an external software development organization, the remote Infrastructure SRE Engineer will design, build, and operate cloud infrastructure, focusing on reliability, observability, and deployment practices for an enterprise AI platform.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement cloud infrastructure and reliability solutions, ensuring production readiness and operational excellence
- Automate operational tasks and establish observability through metrics, logs, and alerts to enhance system performance
- Collaborate with platform teams to optimize cost and capacity, while supporting incident response and postmortem processes
Required qualifications
- Proven experience in building and operating production cloud infrastructure with a focus on reliability
- Strong knowledge of infrastructure-as-code, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployment practices
- Experience in establishing observability and defining service level objectives (SLOs)
- Ability to automate tasks and reduce manual toil through scripting and tooling
- Understanding of cost optimization strategies, particularly for GPU workloads
