Infusion Coordinator Lead

Job Summary

Overseeing the coordination and scheduling of infusion treatments for gastroenterology patients, the full-time Infusion Coordinator Lead will act as the primary liaison among patients, physicians, and nurses, ensuring safe and efficient delivery of care while navigating electronic medical records and obtaining necessary insurance authorizations.

Key responsibilities

• Schedule infusions for GI patients and monitor infusion queues for timely appointments
• Validate patient eligibility and medical documentation while obtaining pre-service infusion authorizations
• Interact with healthcare professionals to confirm and review infusion plans of care

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• 2-3 years of relevant experience preferred
• Familiarity with biologics and/or infusible medications
• Experience in obtaining insurance benefits and authorizations
• Knowledge of eClinicalWorks (eCW) is desired
