Initiative Support Specialist

Job Summary

Supporting a federal information literacy initiative, the full-time remote Initiative Support Specialist will manage research, content coordination, and outreach efforts across various work streams, ensuring effective communication and resource distribution.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and assess suggested website content from various stakeholders against customer-provided criteria
• Coordinate outreach to taskforce members and assist in recruiting new subject matter experts
• Draft communications content, technical assistance tool updates, and social media campaign materials

Required qualifications

• Demonstrated experience engaging museums, libraries, and community-based organizations
• Experience with lifelong learning programming, particularly with marginalized groups
• Preferred background in information, media, or digital literacy research or strategy
• Strong research, writing, and stakeholder coordination skills
• Preferred background in social science or qualitative research methodologies
